Sailing Disney Magic in March for 4 nights. Very excited, son's first cruise. Not planning on shore excursions, is there still lots to do on the ship while docked in Bahama's and/or Castaway Cay? Love this panel, thanks for all the help!

    Hi Heather!

I'm so excited for you and your son!  What a perfect 1st time cruise experience… you couldn't have picked a better gift for him.  He will remember this magical voyage forever!

My family and I didn't plan any on shore excursions the last time we cruised either.  We really just wanted to enjoy the ship and all its magic.  Make sure you familiarize yourself with the Personal Navigator.  It will be your guide to all the scheduled cruise activities.   Depending on your son's age, he will surely enjoy the Youth Clubs and all the events planned by the counselors.  There are tons of friends to be made!  While docked at Nassau, it may be a good time to enjoy the AquaDunk and the Spa… while a good amount of guests are off the ship. :-)

You won't want to miss the Broadway style Entertainment offered in the evenings. Your viewing times will either be before or after your dinner seating schedule.   Try to bring some Pirate gear for Pirate Night. And of course, Castaway Cay -- Disney's own private island.  There's lots of things to see and do!  The 4 nights will be action packed!

Let me know if there are certain interests that you'd like more information on. Thanks again for visiting the Moms Panel, Heather!
