Hi Jo Anne!
It is with deepest pride and greatest pleasure that we welcome you to planDisney! We are like Mrs. Potts from
Beauty and the Beast: “bubbling and brewing” with lots of Disney cruise pointers. Happy to chat all about your upcoming adventure at sea for one of those Disney Magic at Sea itineraries!
While I agree that it would be really convenient to have a device to make coffee or tea in the stateroom, it honestly is far better that Captain Mickey decided to not include these type of machine because they would take up valuable space! Instead, it’s far better to seek out these much needed morning pick-me-ups at one of the various locations onboard. First on the list is to enjoy a sit-down breakfast complete with tea and coffee in one of the designated restaurants serving breakfast that day. I have feasted on many delicious meals to start the day like Eggs Benedict alongside my coffees and lattes.
In the past, a beverage station has always been readily available in
Cabanas as well as outside on the pool deck. Even if Cabanas will no longer be a buffet-style restaurant, I know they still plan to offer beverage selections there. In fact, the
Experience Updates page for the Disney Magic at Sea voyages says that all food and beverages that were previously available at self-service stations will now be served by Crew Members.
I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention my absolute favorite place to get an amazing specialty coffee drink,
Cove Café. Where else will you get a beverage decorated with Mickey art on top? Don’t believe me, well then, you just have to go and see for yourself! With comfy seating, pastries, and a great menu of assorted drinks, this cafe at sea has the best views of any coffee house you’ll ever see! The experience and the coffee alone is well worth the additional cost, I assure you!
Finally, you absolutely MUST take your coffee or tea in the morning on your verandah. Here’s how I like to do that: by ordering a delicious spread of food and drinks from the
24 hour room service onboard. Just be mindful that while most offerings on the in-room dining menu are included, tipping is expected for the server delivering your goodies.
We’re always percolating with more planning tips here at planDisney, so be sure to send more our way! Wishing you MAGICal adventures as you make those core memories with your family!
Happy Sailing!
Sherry
