Ahoy, Crystal!
Welcome back to planDisney! You've picked one of my favorite Disney itineraries! There is something truly magical about ending a day surrounded by Alaska's towering mountains and glaciers before settling into the Walt Disney Theatre for a Broadway-style performance. Talk about a standing ovation from Mother Nature!
I know it's a little bit of a bibbidi bobbidi bummer, but unfortunately the entertainment schedule, including the Broadway-style shows, isn't released until you're onboard and connected to the ship's Wi-Fi through the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. A lot happens behind the scenes before the curtain rises, including scheduling guest entertainers, adjusting for longer port days, and even making changes due to weather. It keeps everyone, even us planDisney panelists, guessing until embarkation day!
While I can't give you the official schedule just yet, I can share what I believe is the most likely lineup based on the current itinerary and how Alaska sailings are typically scheduled. Just remember this is a prediction and is always subject to change.
• Day 1 (Vancouver) – Cruise Casual; no Broadway-style show is typically scheduled, though you may find a movie playing in the Walt Disney Theatre.
• Day 2 (At Sea) – Formal Night;
Twice Charmed is the show I'd expect this evening. After a day at sea, it's the perfect time to get dressed up before watching this fun twist on Cinderella's happily ever after.
• Day 3 (Stikine Icecap) – Cruise Casual; this is expected to be your
Frozen Fjord Celebration, complete with themed activities and For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration, rather than one of the three Broadway-style productions.
• Day 4 (Skagway) – Cruise Casual; with a full day exploring port, I wouldn't expect one of the major stage productions this evening.
• Day 5 (Icy Strait Point) – Semi-Formal Night;
Tangled: The Musical is my prediction for this evening.
• Day 6 (Ketchikan) – Cruise Casual; this is an evening where I'd anticipate a guest entertainer, such as a magician, comedian, or ventriloquist.
• Day 7 (At Sea) – Cruise Casual; I'd expect
Disney Dreams - An Enchanted Classic to close out your voyage. It's a wonderful way to wrap up a week of unforgettable memories before heading home.
