    We will be sailing on the Disney fantasy and Thiswill be our second cruise and we are super excited. We booked late and got second seating. We have requested a change, but what are your suggestions to handling second seating with children?

    Congratulations on your second cruise and welcome back Castaway Club Members! I absolutely delight in hearing about upcoming cruises because sharing your plans brings the magic of my past trips back to me. The Disney Fantasy is a beautiful vessel that is filled to the brim with fun and exciting experiences for your crew. The Rotational Dining is one of my favorite options onboard because my pirate crew has the opportunity to savor delicious cuisine in a different restaurant every night as we are cared for by our wonderful dining service team members. We truly felt like royalty. I can tell you that even if you book late and get second seating, there is a good chance that your family will be able to move to first dining based on availability. This happened with our family once before, and we were bumped up before our cruise even started. The best thing to do is what you have done already - which is to make your request to be placed on the waiting list. If there is no availability, then do not worry because your children will have a fabulous time on second seating anyway! Many families will visit one of the quick service restaurants or order snacks from Room Service to tide over any early hunger pangs. There is also the option to participate in Dine & Play where pirate children have an expedited meal and leave early to play in the Oceaneer Club.
