Ahoy, Bertha!
I'm glad to hear you'll be taking advantage of the awesome Youth Clubs when you and your little one set sail on the beautiful Disney Dream! These amazing spaces provide a fun, safe environment for young cruisers to hang out with energetic Youth Counselors while adults explore the ship on their own. My kids LOVE the clubs, and have made many friends and lots of memories on our Disney Cruises!
If your child is checked in during mealtime (usually around noon for lunch and 5:30 for dinner - check your Personal Navigator for exact times), the counselors will either take the group to Cabanas for a buffet of kid-friendly favorites, or they'll be served a meal in a special area of the club. Typical foods served will be chicken nuggets, chips, and other favorites of the kid crowd. You can ask about specific meal offerings for your particular sailing once onboard.
In the Oceaneer Club, there's not a specific nap time provided for little ones, however, there are several areas throughout the club where kids can stretch out and watch movies/relax. If your child needs a quiet environment to nap, it's probably best to check him/her out of the club and hang out in your stateroom for a little R&R.
I hope this helps with your planning! Please let us know if you have more questions before you sail - we're happy to help! You can find a video by my fellow Moms Panelist Andi, highlighting all there is to see and do on the Disney Dream,

Have a magical day! - Diane W.
