Ahoy there, Carla!
Welcome aboard planDisney! I totally understand wanting to make sure you can fit in every bit of fun the Disney Dream has to offer. On a 3-night sailing, it can feel like trying to pack for Mary Poppins’ magical carpet bag, there’s a lot to fit in, but somehow Disney does a pretty amazing job making it all work.
Since you are on a 3-night sailing, Disney works hard to plan as much entertainment as possible into those short few days. This includes scheduling all three Broadway-style shows in the
Walt Disney Theatre along with the swashbuckling fun of Pirate Night festivities, and they really do a fantastic job making sure Guests don’t have to choose one or the other. With your 5:45 dinner seating, you are actually in a great spot to enjoy both the pirate fun and the evening theatre show without feeling like you have to race around the ship like Lightning McQueen on the final lap.
Before we jump in, I always like to recommend hopping into your
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app once you are onboard to view the latest entertainment schedules. Think of the Navigator app as your own enchanted map, a bit like the one from Treasure Planet, guiding you to every show, party, and must-see moment throughout your voyage.
Now, based on previous sailings, let’s jump in to what I predict will happen for your sailing. Currently, your sailing is planned for
Pirate Night on Day 2 after your day in Rotterdam. If Disney follows a schedule similar to past sailings, this means you will enjoy a great dinner at your assigned time of 5:45 PM, followed by Mickey’s Pirates in the Caribbean around 7:30 PM. After that, you will typically have time to catch the evening Broadway-style show, which is often scheduled around 8:45 PM. The night usually wraps up with Buccaneer Blast & Club Pirate around 10:15 PM. So the good news is that it’s not an either-or situation. You should absolutely be able to enjoy the pirate festivities and still catch the theatre show without missing a beat.
Again, these times are just my prediction based on similar previous sailings, and entertainment schedules can shift faster than Peter Pan changing course toward Neverland. It’s also important to remember that fireworks are not currently planned for your sailing due to local laws and regulations, but don’t worry, the energy and excitement of Pirate Night still make it one of the most memorable evenings of the cruise.
You will want to check your Navigator app once onboard for the final show schedule, but here is my best guess for your sailing lineup:
• Day 1:
The Golden Mickeys• Day 2:
Beauty and the Beast• Day 3:
Disney’s BelieveI hope this helps you feel confident that you won’t have to choose between swashbuckling fun and Broadway-style magic, you really can enjoy both in the same evening. Your Netherlands sailing sounds like it will be packed tighter than Captain Hook’s treasure chest with unforgettable moments.
Sea ya real soon as springtime magic carries us from one adventure to the next,
Dustin
