I will be sailing on the Disney Dream Sept 28th -Oct 1st ,2015...my girls will be 4 and 6 by then. We are super excited, can anyone share more details about character meetings, the Oceaneers Club, other onboard activities to keep them engaged in the fun?

    Ahoy, Lori!

Your girls are at perfect ages for a Disney Cruise. They'll have lots of activities to keep them busy and entertained from start to finish!

The Youth Clubs onboard are amazing, and staffed by well-trained, energetic Youth Counselors. The Oceaneer Club/Lab is for ages 3-12, and will be the place for your girls to hang out with friends their age. On the first afternoon onboard, the clubs host an Open House, where you can get an overview of the activities during your sailing. The kids' activities are themed, which makes it easy for children to choose which experiences appeal the most to them. No need to sign up for specific activities, they can just show up and participate!

    The Themed Experiences are:
Clubhouse Series - focuses on movement, appeals to younger children
Storybook Series - focuses on Disney classic stories
Jump Up! Series - Large group and movement-oriented activities
Create and Invent Series - Tactile focus allowing creativity
In the Spotlight Series - Focuses on stage presence and enthusiasm (recommended for 7 and up)
Solve It! Series - Challenging problem/solution-based activities (recommended for 7 and up)

Each day, you'll receive a Personal Navigator, a detailed schedule with times and locations for all the activities happening on the ship. There will be a dedicated section for the Oceaneer Club/Lab, where you can see what activities the girls want to participate in each day. There will also be a section for Character Greetings, so you can make plans to visit any favorite Disney friends making an appearance! You'll also find a "Fun For All Ages" section, highlighting events the whole family can enjoy. Make sure to pack some colored highlighters so you can each mark favorite "don't miss" events each day.

I hope this helps with your planing! Your daughters will have more fun than you can imagine when you sail with Captain Mickey and his crew! - Diane W.
