Ahoy, Andrea!
I can only imagine the excitement and anticipation you must be feeling as you prepare for eleven nights aboard the Disney Dream, sailing the Mediterranean. I absolutely loved visiting Rome. If you have a few days to explore before you head to the port, head over to Fassi for a scoop of gelato – they've been perfecting the art for over 140 years!
Your son is welcome to use the
Fitness Center, where he will find state-of-the-art equipment and weight machines. Please note that an adult or guardian must accompany Guests between the ages of 14 and 17. There’s also a walking and running track on Deck 4, where 2.5 laps equal 1 mile. He can enjoy the fresh sea breeze while staying fit.
Donald’s Pool, the deepest on board, has variable hours. I’ve seen it open as early as 9:00 a.m. and close as late as 10:00 p.m. The pool is usually less crowded on sea days and between the two dining times. While he is swimming laps, you can take in a movie on the Funnel Vision or hop on the
AquaDuck for a bird’s eye view below. It’s even more fun at night with the dazzling lights!
Be sure to check the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app for the latest pool and fitness center hours. The app is like having your own personal Genie right in your pocket, keeping you informed and organized throughout your cruise. If your son has a cell phone, he can download the app to check out all the onboard activities and use the chat feature. There’s no need to create an account to access the basics!
Wishing you calm waters as you dive into the beautiful Mediterranean. May your journey be filled with stunning sunsets, delightful discoveries, and memories that will stay with you forever.
SEAS the adventure!
