Hiya Megan!
Three cheers for a birthday cruise! You are going to have SO much fun. No one knows how to celebrate quite like Disney Cruise Line!
There's an easy way to
make sure your cruise team knows that you are celebrating on your cruise. Just head to
"My Reservations" on the website and choose "Special Requests" to add a note about your birthday. Fair warning: this action may lead to extra dessert!
You can also visit the Guest Services deck on the ship to ask about buttons! We always grab a button in the parks when we are celebrating, and they often have them on the ship as well. My daughter even got a button once when she lost a tooth on our cruise! They're such a fun keepsake and wearing your button gives everyone a chance to join in the fun and wish you a happy birthday.
A birthday certainly calls for a special meal, don't you think? I chose brunch at
Palo when I had a birthday on a cruise and it was completely lovely. Don't forget to tell them you're celebrating when you check in! Since you're on the Disney Dream you could also choose to dine at
Remy. They have brunch, too! I like to do brunch on the ships because then I still get to spend my evenings in the main dining rooms with our fabulous serving team. You don't know your team yet, but I promise you will love them and they will be thrilled to celebrate with you.
Speaking of shopping, how about
ordering a gift for yourself through
Onboard Gifts? Maybe a little something for a birthday toast? A cozy bathrobe? They also have the most adorable floating wireless speaker that I would 100% be ordering for myself if I were cruising for my birthday.
One of my favorite things on my birthday cruise was finding a quiet spot on deck and just enjoying the view, Megan! Wishing you a very happy birthday!
Keep moving forward!
Amanda
