Sailing the disney dream in december 19-22, 2014. We are going to the bahamas, my question is how is the weather then? And will my girls be able to enjoy the water?

    Welcome Aboard, Donna!

I'm so happy to hear you've planned a December getaway on the gorgeous Disney Dream with your family. Not only will you get to experience all a Disney Cruise has to offer, you'll be able to enjoy all the holiday extras included in Disney Cruise Line's Very Merrytime Cruises! (Who wouldn't want to cruise with Captain Mickey AND Santa Claus?) What fun!

We cruised in December two years ago, with an itinerary that included a "double dip" to Disney's private Bahamian island, Castaway Cay. On our first stop, the temps were warm enough to spend time on the beach, but the water was too chilly to swim. It was a perfect day for a bicycle ride around the island! After a visit to Nassau and a day at sea, we returned to the island for our second visit. We had plenty of warm sunshine and my kids enjoyed a day of swimming and snorkeling. What a difference a few days made! Average daily temperatures in the Bahamas during the month of December are in the high 70s to low 80s.

I hope this information is helpful as you plan your fun family vacation on the Disney Dream! Please let us know if you have any more questions as your sail date gets closer.
    Have a magical day! - Diane W.
