We will be sailing on Disney Dream Dec. 28th. Can you tell me what the temperature and water temperature might be like on Castaway Cay at that time? Also what movies will be showing on-board during that time?

    Ahoy, Pam!

While temps in the Bahamas will vary in the month of December, you'll usually encounter warm temps in the low to mid eighties when visiting Castaway Cay. Water temperatures don't tend to vary much, staying in the mid seventies, but if the air temps are cooler it will make you feel a bit chilly when getting in and out of the water.

If you find the water is a bit too cool for you to enjoy, no worries. There's plenty to do on Disney Cruise Line's private island to keep you busy! Our favorite activity is to rent bicycles for a tour around the island. It's a great way to see the scenery, get a little exercise, and burn off some of the calories from all the delicious food we've enjoyed on the ship.

I've checked with the nice folks at DCL to find out what movies you'll be able to enjoy on your sailing (please note, titles are always subject to change). Head over to the Buena Vista Theatre to catch one of the following:

    Big Hero 6
    Avengers: Age of Ultron
    Tomorrowland
    Inside Out
    Ant-Man
    The Good Dinosaur
    Bridge of Spies
    Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Each day, you'll receive a daily schedule, called a Personal Navigator. There will be a section for the Buena Vista Theatre where you can see all the showtimes throughout the day. When you're hanging out on the pool deck, you'll be able to see favorite Disney classics showing on the Funnel Vision jumbo screen. It's so much fun to sing along to classic Disney songs while having some splashtastic fun on deck! Funnel Vision programming can also be found in your Personal Navigator.

I hope this helps with your planning! Bon Voyage, and Merry Christmas! - Diane W.
