Ahoy again, Tara! Thank you for cruising back to us with another great question!
It won't be long before you can step aboard the
Disney Dream and embark on a European getaway! As your cruise will be departing from Copenhagen, guests ages 14-17 will be allowed to use the
Fitness Center onboard as long as they are accompanied by an adult. Please be sure to pack appropriate exercise attire and athletic shoes for use in the Fitness Center.
You'll find a range of equipment available for your use from treadmills, ellipticals, weight machines, and free weights. Refreshing towels, cold water, and fruit are also available to enjoy after your workout. If you'd like a tour of the Fitness Center, stop by the Senses Salon and Spa on the day you embark on the ship. The Crew Members will be happy to show you around the facility.
As your son will be 14, he will be able to visit both
Edge and
Vibe, the tween and teen youth spaces onboard the ship. I recommend that he visit both on the first day of the cruise, to meet the Counselors and potentially find new friends. Both spaces usually host some "icebreaker" activities on the first evening of the cruise for the kids to get to know each other.
Your family can know what's happening onboard in the youth spaces and beyond by viewing the Daily Activity Schedule within the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app once you are on the ship. I recommend that you download the app before your journey begins! You can use the app to make plans from home, book
Port Adventures, and countdown to your embarkation day.
Please sail back to us if you have more questions. It's a pleasure to help you plan for such an amazing adventure!
