Ahoy James!
Welcome to planDisney! Sounds like you're in for a real holiday treat! Not only will you be sailing on the
Disney Dream, but you'll also be enjoying a "whole new world" at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando. Our absolute most memorable Disney trip was a
land and sea adventure, exploring theme parks and tropical destinations in a single vacation. Best of both worlds!
Taking Disney Cruise Line
ground transportation to Port Canaveral from a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel is always an added way to sprinkle pixie dust on your vacation. Under “My Reservations” on the
Disney Cruise Line website, you can select ground transportation and put which Disney Resorts Collection hotel you will be staying at before you set sail, and Disney Cruise Line will handle the rest! In your situation, you will have to be staying at one of Disney’s hotels in order to arrange transportation with Disney Cruise Line; off property resorts and hotels do not have this service available.
You will receive paperwork in your resort room that includes instructions on where and when to meet your motor coach the next day. Once ground transportation delivers you to Port Canaveral for check-in, you will complete the check-in process and receive a Boarding Group number which will determine when you can actually board the ship. When your group number is called, your nautical adventure will officially begin!
James, cruise back to planDisney if you have any additional questions before your high seas adventure.
Happy Sailing!
