While sailing on Disney Cruises we place personalized magnets on the stateroom doors. Can you please tell me if we can also place these magnets on the doors at the resorts at Walt Disney World? Thank you,

    Hi Laurie!

I loved seeing all of the cute and clever stateroom door displays on our last Disney Cruise Line sailing. It's such a fun way to celebrate special trips or just express the magical Disney spirit.

Unfortunately, most of the resort doors are not magnetic and therefor the same whimsical displays will not work. Also, DVC and Deluxe resorts have rules against decorating the doors or outside of your Guest Rooms. I have seen in many of the moderate and value resorts Guests will decorate the inside of the windows with fun displays visible to Guests walking by. Especially around the holidays, you'll see lights and other festive items. If you do decorate in any manner make sure you use items easily removable without damaging the walls or other property. Even scotch tape or similar adhesives have a tendency to mix with the Florida heat and humidity and peel the paint right off.

You can also look into Disney Floral & Gifts for fun ways to add a little magic to your room. Have a wonderful vacation, Laurie, and please let us know if there is anything else we are able to help you with.

Hi-ya, Pals! I'm a wife and mother of three who's enjoyed many special occasions at Walt Disney World Resort with my family: graduations, pregnancies, birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, reunions, and even our Fairy Tale Honeymoon. I look for any excuse to return "home" often and would love to help add a little extra Pixie Dust to your next magical adventure. Learn More About Lauren
