Welcome back to planDisney, Debbie! Your
7-Night voyage on the
Disney Treasure is just around the riverbend, so let’s explore the clues to discover what theme nights are in your future.
If my Spidey-Senses are accurate, it looks like you can expect three different themes during your sailing: Formal, Semi-Formal, and Pirate.
First up will be Formal Night on Night 2 after your first day at sea. This will be the dressiest of evenings, where you’ll find some men sporting a tuxedo or suit and tie and women wearing gowns and dresses. You’ll also find some of the fanciest photo backdrops for this theme night if you want to have your portrait taken by the professional photographers onboard before dinner.
After your day in Grand Cayman (Day 4), plan for some swashbuckling fun as the sun sets. You and your fellow sailing crew should grab the pirate bandana you’ll find in your stateroom and prepare for a feast for your palette and your eyes. After a Caribbean-themed meal in the
dining room, head up to the pool deck for a
Pirate Night Deck Party and fireworks at sea (weather permitting). I recommend watching from Deck 12 for an even more amazing vantage point.
Finally, Semi-Formal night will occur on Night 6. I find this night to be where I see the most variety in Guests’ attire. Some will still dress in their finest regalia, while others tend to keep things more Cruise Casual regardless of the evening’s theme. With that in mind, Disney Cruise Line suggests a suit or jacket for men and a dress or jumpsuit for women.
Packing for a Disney Cruise is not for the faint of heart. Even with a
packing list, I tend to overdo it with the amount of matching t-shirts, Minnie ears, and Disney-bounding outfits I shove in my suitcase. But that’s part of the fun! After all, your cruise may only be 7 nights, but the pictures you take and the memories you make will last forever! If you need any other pixie-dusted tips before your trip, you know we’ll be right here waiting to help at
planDisney.
Bon voyage,
