    We are sailing on a Disney Cruise July 9, 2026, from Vancouver, B.C. What ship will we be sailing on that day?

    Welcome to planDisney! How exciting that you and your family will be embarking for Alaska with Captain Mickey very soon!

    The two original Disney Cruise Line ships -- the Magic and the Wonder -- are both sailing the waterways to Alaska this summer. It looks as if the ship departing from Vancouver on July 9 is the Disney Magic, which may be my favorite in the Disney fleet. (The Disney Wonder is nearly identical.)

    My husband and I have sailed the Magic from New York City to Nova Scotia and from England to Denmark and Norway. We love the intimate feel the ship's smaller size affords. We sailed the Magic without children and took advantage of some of the adult areas frequently, especially O'Gill's Pub and the Cove Cafe.

    The ship's Broadway-style shows and live entertainment, themed dining venues and the unlimited soft serve ice cream, of course, are treats for all ages.
