Ahoy, Wendy!
Welcome aboard planDisney! July may feel like it’s floating somewhere out past the horizon right now, but before you know it you’ll be hearing that first ship horn and stepping into vacation mode faster than a certain lost boy shouting “Here we goooo!” in Neverland. Until then, let’s make sure you have a cozy place to land the night before and a smooth ride to the port on embarkation morning.
There are currently three hotel options that offer transportation to the Disney Cruise Line terminal at
Port Everglades:
• Fort Lauderdale Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa – Disney ground transfers are currently $25 per Guest (age 3 and older) one-way or $50 per Guest for round-trip.
• Hilton Fort Lauderdale Marina – One-way ground transfers with Disney are currently $21 per Guest or $42 per Guest for round-trip.
• Omni Fort Lauderdale Hotel – Guests of this hotel can enjoy a complimentary cruise shuttle by contacting the Omni Concierge Desk after checking into the hotel or by calling the hotel directly within 30 days of the sail date.
These hotels are great options, and one thing to make sure to plan for is your transportation from the airport to the hotel of your choice. The hotels do not currently offer a shuttle from the airport, so you may want to consider a ride-sharing service, like Uber or Lyft, to get you and your crew to your hotel. If you plan to head straight to the airport after your cruise and want to use Disney’s ground transfer service, I recommend
giving Disney Cruise Line a call ahead of time to reserve those return transfers so everything is shipshape before you even leave home.
It’s also important to keep in mind that Disney does not currently offer
ground transfers from the airport to your chosen hotel unless you request a private transfer, which is subject to availability. That’s one of those small details that’s easy to overlook, but knowing it ahead of time keeps your embarkation morning running smoothly.
I hope this helps you find the perfect hotel and transportation plan so your vacation begins with smooth sailing from the very start. If you have any other questions as July gets closer, feel free to sail back my way and I’ll be happy to help.
Sea ya real soon as springtime magic carries us from one adventure to the next,
Dustin
