Sailing for DDs birthday and on a budget. Am I able to bring my own stateroom decorations similar to those offered by DCL? Also, am I able to use tape to affix them in the room or am I required to use magnets in the room as well as the door? TIA!

    Welcome aboard, Jennifer!

A Disney Cruise is the world's most awesome Birthday treat!  What a lucky DD you have!

You are most definitely welcome to bring out that creative pixie in you, and go crazy with your own stateroom decorations! It's a birthday party - and you can celebrate big on the Disney Cruise. My family and I always bring our own decorations. There are so many choices in the market right now, that you can really be unique, festive and whimsy - all rolled into one!

I love decorating stateroom doors. In addition to making it easy to spot your door through a long hallway, it just makes everyone smile when they see your fancy designs, Disney magnets and family pictures right on your door. You are welcome to use tape to secure your decorations to your door and to your inside stateroom walls. You can also use magnets - since it sticks really nicely on the door. My kids love making decorations for our stateroom. We pick different themes every time.

You're well on your way to making magical memories already. Wishing you and your family a wonderful Disney Cruise Birthday Celebration out on the high seas!

    Bon voyage,
    ~ Dolly
