Hi. We are sailing on the 13 day Trans Atlantic cruise in May. Arrive in Barcelona on 17MAY. Does Disney offer an airport transfer in Barcelona? Also, what is the earliest flight you would recommend departing BCN on the 17th? Thank you.

    Ahoy there, Jason!

Welcome aboard planDisney! A 13-night Transatlantic sailing? Now that’s what I call making some Disney magic stretch as far as possible! While I haven’t personally crossed the Atlantic with Captain Mickey, I’ve heard nothing but fantastic things about this voyage. With so many sea days, you’ll have plenty of time to explore every inch of the ship, enjoy all the delicious food, and maybe even become a trivia champion!

Now, let’s chart the course for your post-cruise journey in Barcelona! Disney does offer ground transfers from the port to Barcelona International Airport on debarkation day. The current cost is $35 per person, and the estimated travel time is about 30 minutes—though it’s always smart to factor in some extra time for customs, security, and other Guests.

When it comes to choosing your return flight, Disney recommends booking a departure no earlier than 12:30 PM. Since you’ll be traveling internationally, you’ll want to allow plenty of time for debarkation, airport transfers, security screenings, and customs. If you like to play things safe (or just want a more relaxed departure day), you might consider an even later flight so you’re not rushing through the airport like Dash from The Incredibles.

Now, let’s talk about the real magic of this sailing—those glorious sea days! Unlike shorter itineraries where everything feels like a race against time, this cruise is all about slowing down and soaking it all in. Start your morning with a peaceful breakfast on your verandah (if you have one), or find a quiet spot on Deck 12 to watch the waves stretch endlessly before you. It’s the perfect time to enjoy a second (or third) cup of coffee and truly embrace that carefree, ocean-breeze-in-your-hair feeling.

And let’s not forget the entertainment! Between Broadway-style shows, movie marathons, character meet-and-greets, and incredible dining experiences, you’ll be spoiled for choice. If you haven’t already, I highly recommend booking a Palo brunch—it’s a fan favorite for a reason!

Spain is absolutely stunning, and I know this cruise will be an adventure to remember. Wishing you smooth seas, plenty of relaxation, and just the right amount of Disney magic to make this voyage truly unforgettable!

Sea ya real soon with love in the air and magic everywhere,
    Dustin
