Ahoy there, Julie!
Welcome aboard! I think a Sweet Sixteen cruise will be the ultimate birthday for your daughter. I did the same for our daughter’s 16th birthday and we sailed on the Disney Wonder to Alaska. Needless to say, it was a birthday she will not soon forget!
Like you, I’m always eager to go ahead and get my
Online Check-In completed so I can receive that all-important Port Arrival Time. That said, the check-in process is a bit more involved, requiring the uploading of passports/travel documents and photos of all Guests in the stateroom. So if you are a night person, by all means, go ahead and get it done at midnight 30 days prior to your sail date. But I have found that you can wait until the following morning and still have your choice of a Port Arrival Time.
This Port Arrival Time is even more important now because times are currently being strictly enforced. If you
arrive early (and are not using
Disney Cruise Line ground transfers), you will not be permitted at the terminal or in parking areas before the scheduled arrival time. Also, all non-Concierge level Guests, including Platinum Castaway Club members must choose a Port Arrival Time.
There’s a great checklist in the
Know Before You Go: Pre-Cruise Checklist section if you have further questions. And don’t forget to complete the pre-arrival steps on the
Safe Passage website.
Julie, we are so happy you came back by planDisney! Feel free to cruise on over anytime. Hope that you have the most amazing voyage with Captain Mickey and his crew.
Happy Sailing!
Sherry
