Hey there, Ed! How exciting; your Disney Cruise adventure is almost underway!
Barcelona is an incredible city to explore! If you have time, make sure you visit the vibrant Las Ramblas area. This bustling street is always alive with activity and is conveniently connected to several hop-on-hop-off bus stops, allowing you to explore the city with ease. Now, let's talk about the themed nights and suggested dining attire to help you
pack for your adventure.
Although most nights are
Cruise Casual, get ready for two deck parties and some fancier evenings ahead.
• Sunday: Formal Night
• Monday:
Pirate Night • Thursday: Mickey’s Color Spin Dance Party
• Saturday: Semi-Formal Night
Captains Mickey and Minnie also like to dress up in Europe. You’ll find Mickey in a tux for Formal Night, Minnie in colorful gear at the dance party, and we even caught Goofy at the pier dressed to impress in his Italian finest while visiting Naples.
Schedules are always subject to change, so you will want to check the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app for the latest information. You’ll also receive important notifications about your Disney Port Adventures in the app’s messaging center.
While credit cards are widely accepted at the ports of call, I found it helpful to carry some local currency, especially when visiting smaller shops or trying to find change for the restroom. You can
exchange U.S. Dollars for Euros on the ship. And don't worry about leftover Euros – you can exchange them back to U.S. Dollars at the same rate, as long as you have the onboard receipt from the original exchange before you head home.
I hope you have a great time, Ed, embracing the spirit of adventure!
Bon Voyage!
