I have enjoyed two
Very Merrytime Cruises, both on the
Disney Dream, sailing to the Bahamas. And, like you, I wondered what to pack for a cruise in winter. The weather in the Bahamas is pretty consistent year-round. It's hotter and more humid in the summer, but November and December typically have highs in the 80s—not overly hot, but warm. On my cruise with my planDisney friends in December, we even went in the water at
Castaway Cay.
I tend to get cold, so I always pack a light sweater to take to dinner. The restaurants are usually a bit chilly for me. On the winter cruises, my cardigan was lovely on the deck in the evenings. When the sun goes down, the temperatures do, too. It could be in the 60s at night, and with the open-water breeze while traveling at cruise speed, I needed something warmer than I wore during the day.
My husband and I celebrated our 20th anniversary on the Disney Wonder in Alaska. There is something extra magical about being aboard a Disney ship and reminiscing over so many years in your
Happily Ever After story! We had our kids with us on this one, but we have sailed with just couples and absolutely loved it.
And you are going to love celebrating your anniversary on a Very Merrytime Cruise! Typically, these cruises include an optional holiday dress-up night, allowing you to get in the spirit of the season and feel so very fancy! You will also party with the swashbucklers and scallywags on
Pirate Night. Dressing up for these events is always optional, and you will see families who make the most of it, as well as others who continue to enjoy their "cruise casual" vibe.

If you see a time for Storytelling with Ms. Claus, I loved this so much! I get nostalgic over the holidays, and this was so sweet!
