Ahoy, Melissa!
Welcome aboard the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Oh my goodness, I can hEAR how excited you are for your upcoming cruise through your question! It's so exciting whenever we begin the packing process because that means our voyage on the high seas is right around the corner! Even though my family has sailed with Captain Mickey before, I still refer to the
Packing List for Disney Cruises for suggestions on what items to pack for different itineraries.
You asked a great question! I just got off the phone asking the helpful agents at Disney Cruise Line about whether or not your daughter can bring her volleyball aboard the Disney Wonder to use on the
Wide World of Sports Deck. Guests are allowed to bring aboard their own volleyballs; however, the personal volleyballs are only able to be used on Disney's private island, Castaway Cay. I know your upcoming voyage won't be making a stop at that island, but I have good news for you! Disney Cruise Line does provide a volleyball on a first-come, first-served (no pun intended!) basis for Guests to use on the Wide World of Sports Deck. In my opinion, I think your daughter should bring her own volleyball along with her and stop with you to the
Guest Services Desk once you board the ship to ask if she could be able to use it if the volleyball provided by Disney Cruise Line is unavailable. The Cast Member might say no, but it never hurts to ask!
Melissa, just thinking about your daughter practicing her volleyball drills while the ship slowly cruises down the fjords makes me smile! I hope your entire family has an unforgettable voyage!
