Hi we are going to sail on the Dream in September 15-19 my daughter won’t turn three until September 29th so she will be shy of the age of three by two ish weeks can she go to the kids club or no since she will still technically be two

    Ahoy, Kristin!

Welcome aboard planDisney! It sounds like your crew is getting ready to live the Dream (pun intended) this September—what an adventure! The Dream is a ship my family holds near and dear, and I just know your daughter is going to have a magical time onboard!

Now, let’s talk about Disney’s Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab. These spaces are incredible—think of them as a place where kids get to step inside their favorite Disney stories, play alongside some beloved characters, and go on their own little adventures. But, as much as I wish I had a magic wand to change the rules, Disney is very firm about the age requirement. Kids must be at least 3 years old and fully toilet-trained to participate in secured programming. Unfortunately, there are no exceptions, even for those who are oh-so-close to their big birthday.

But don’t let that rain on your (pixie-dusted) parade—there’s still plenty of fun for your little one! Open House hours are a fantastic way for her to explore the Oceaneer Club and Lab with you! During these times, the doors are open to everyone, so you can check out the magical play spaces together. It’s a great chance for her to experience all the fun while you get to soak in those special moments.

Now, let’s talk about making a splash!

First stop: Nemo’s Reef! This interactive splash pad is perfect for tiny guppies looking to cool off and have fun. If your daughter isn’t fully potty trained yet, no problem—swim diapers are required here, but she’ll still get to enjoy all the splashtastic fun!

If she is potty trained, then Mickey’s Pool and Donald’s Pool will also be open for her to enjoy. Plus, Disney provides complimentary life jackets on the pool deck, so she can splash safely!

And if she happens to be a tall two-year-old and measures at least 42 inches, she can even ride the AquaDuck—Disney Cruise Line’s first-ever water coaster! My kids weren’t quite there at that age, but if she makes the cut, she’ll love zooming around the ship with a big splashy finale.

Kristin, while I know it’s a bibbidi bobbidi bummer that she won’t quite be old enough for the Oceaneer Club, I can promise you there is still so much magic to discover onboard. From character meet-and-greets to deck parties and endless family fun, your daughter is going to have a trip filled with pixie dust!

Sea ya real soon with love in the air and magic everywhere,
    Dustin
