Hiya Perla,
Welcome to planDisney! We are so happy that you are here and planning a visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth!
As someone who just recently wrapped up her nursing/breastfeeding journey, I completely understand the added complexity that breast milk storage has on a vacation. I still remember not thinking about it my first visit and literally crying over spilled milk when I found it hadn’t stayed frozen in the beverage cooler. All this to say, great job thinking ahead, Perla! Although there isn’t anything specifically outlined in the
official property rules and guidelines relating to dry ice at the Walt Disney World Resort Collection Hotels (it is specifically called out for the theme parks), I spoke to a Cast Member, and they confirmed that, unfortunately, dry ice is also not permitted currently within any of the resort hotel rooms as well. This is even if you are planning to use it for breastmilk storage. I’m not sure where you are staying, Perla, but if it is a
deluxe villa room, there is a standard refrigerator with a freezer, ideal for storing breast milk. If you are not staying in a villa, you can inquire about other in-room refrigeration options at check-in. Since this is not guaranteed, I do also want to share that
Bell Services can store your sealed and labeled breast milk in the resort hotel freezer if you need them to. This is what I have done before, and it was really ideal for my family and me.
I hope this was helpful, Perla. If you need anything else, please come back and see us. Before I let you go, if you plan to pump while in the parks, I do want to remind you that you cannot currently store breast milk in the
Baby Care Centers. For those instances, I recommend renting a
locker and bringing both a soft-sided cooler filled with ice packs (dry and loose ice are not permitted) and an additional breast milk cooler (I had one that resembled a tumbler). I would then put expressed milk in the cooler bag and keep it in the locker until I was ready to head out. It wasn’t a perfect solution, but I found that the milk stayed cool enough! I hope that you have the very best trip ever!
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
