Is there a safe place to lock scooters up to visit?

Hello David, welcome to planDisney. It sounds like your first ride of the day will be on a scooter to the Disneyland Resort! While you won't be able to use a recreational scooter on the property, there are a few bike racks where you could secure one for the day. Let's get rolling!

If you're entering the Disneyland Resort from Harbor Boulevard, you'll find bike racks conveniently located just before the security checkpoint. Once you lock your scooter and go through the security screening, you'll be steps from the Esplanade and theme park entrance gates. I occasionally use this entrance when I travel to the Resort via public transportation. As a heads up, I've noticed at certain times of day this area may see a lot of activity, with Guests arriving via shuttles, rideshare and taxi services, buses from the Toy Story Parking Area, and by foot. And in your case, by scooter!

On the other side of the Resort, around the hotels and Downtown Disney, there are bike racks near Star Wars Trading Post. You'll need to walk your scooter through the security screening before reaching the racks. Keep in mind that scooters are on the Prohibited Items list, so you may need to have a conversation with the Security Cast Member about your plans to store it.

    Here are some other tips:
    – Bring your own lock since one is not provided.
    – The bike racks are not covered, so you may want to change your plans in inclement weather.
    – There are locker rentals in the Esplanade just outside the park entrances. You could rent one in a size that works best for you and use it to store your helmet or any other gear.
    – Remember that scooters may not be ridden anywhere on the property, including Downtown Disney District, the area surrounding the Disneyland Resort Hotels, and the theme parks.

David, I hope this information makes your arrival to the Disneyland Resort as smooth as a Magic Carpet Ride! If you have any other questions, please let me know.

    Wishing you magic,

    Kriss
