Hello Elizabeth,
Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. Disney's Animal Kingdom is an amazing park! Besides the animals you get to see during
Kilimanjaro Safaris, there are also walking trails where you can see and learn about gorillas, tigers, bats, and
so many other animals.
Did you know that you can also reserve tours at Disney's Animal Kingdom to get a closer experience with specific animals than during a regular park visit? Park admission is required in addition to the cost of the tour, but there are some amazing experiences available.
Caring for Giants,
Up Close with Rhinos, and
Wild Africa Trek all provide unique wildlife adventures.
If you are a guest at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel and don't want to visit the theme park, you might consider
Starlight Safari at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. You won't see all of the animals that you would experience in Kilimanjaro Safaris, but you'll be given night vision goggles during this after dark adventure that will help you see the animals roaming the resort savanna, including zebra, ostrich, giraffes, and more.
Finally, anyone can make dining reservations at one of the
restaurants in Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. You can enjoy the resort's savannas before or after your meal, and
Sanaa has huge windows that provide amazing views.
Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!
Diane
