Hello there, Frank. Welcome to
planDisney!
Space 220 is an out-of-this-world dining experience that is wildly popular right now, Frank. Trust me when I say that you aren't the only one not able to secure an advanced dining reservation. In fact, Space 220 is such a hot-ticket restaurant that even the lounge area started taking reservations. I think that you'll be happy to know that with 4 adults you are able to visit the bar area without an advanced dining reservation. Right now, the restaurant is separated into 3 categories - the dining room,
the lounge and the bar. The bar is currently working on a first-come, first-serve walk-up list. However, you do need to be 21 and older to access this area of Space 220. When you'd like to enjoy Space 220 with your party, simply head over to that area to be put on the waiting list. You'll have the same experience as every other diner by taking the elevator up to the Centauri Space Station and then stellar views from the bar area because it is located pretty centrally within the restaurant.
The Atmospheric Spirits a.k.a.
cocktail menu at Space 220 is extensive with some really fun creations. I highly recommend their spin on an Aperol Spritz - the Atmospritz which is served with New Amsterdam, Aperol, Blood Orange, Orange Juice, Prosecco and topped with a Cotton Candy Cloud. At the bar, you can also enjoy Crews Brews or Worldly Wines and I find both lists to be pretty extensive. If you are looking for something to eat, I recommend anything off of the
Flight Bite menu which is appetizers. The Blue Moon Cauliflower is a fan-favorite and rightfully so as it is delicious!
Frank, it also never hurts to just walk up and see if there is any day of availability when you are at
EPCOT. Sometimes the answer is no but sometimes it can be a yes too. It certainly never hurts to ask. I've had great luck at many Walt Disney World restaurants just walking up to see. However, the bar at Space 220 is my go-to and I think you'll really like it too. You get the full experience for a lot less of a price tag.
I hope this helps! If you have any other questions before your trip, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me.
Good luck!
Jackie H.
