Hiya, Jerrica! Thanks for stopping by planDisney.
It looks like your Walt Disney World vacation is just a few days away! Woo hoo! You’ll be immersed in the magic and enjoying all the Mickey-shaped snacks before you know it.
I took a look at the
list of prohibited items and I didn’t see any mention of large rechargeable batteries, but I know that these guidelines are subject to change and Security Cast Members reserve the right to not allow certain things into the parks (even if they aren’t mentioned on the list of prohibited items). So I called a super helpful Cast Member on the
non-reservation questions phone line and they were able to get in contact with a security representative who said these types of large rechargeable batteries are not allowed in the parks.
If you still want to bring a personal fan for your little one, which I think is a great idea, the Cast Member did mention that smaller USB rechargeable devices are allowed. And then there’s always my favorite way to beat the heat: a
Fanta Orange Float and a trip to the Enchanted Tiki Room.
Speaking of refreshing snacks, let’s not forget all the
limited-time cool treats at the
EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival. There’s the cucumber-watermelon slushy at Florida Fresh, ice cream at Swirled Showcase, and Tropical Punch at Trowel & Trellis. There are so many amazing options to choose from, you can’t go wrong!
Jerrica, I hope this information helps you prepare for your Disney Parks day. Pop right back to planDisney if you have any other questions. We’re always happy to help!
Magical travels!
Matt
