I am running the Wine and Dine 1/2 marathon and I am staying at Kidani VIllage. I have stayed at a Host Resort previously (Princess 5K in 2012) and found the buses so easy to get to the race. What is the best way to get to the race that evening?

    Hi Judith!

The Wine and Dine Half Marathon is my FAVORITE runDisney race!  I am already counting down the days!!

You are right that it is very convenient to use the runDisney buses at the host resorts, but no worries!  I have stayed at non-host resorts and off-property before and not had any issues.

You will need to arrange in advance for a cab to take you to the race start (ESPN Wide World of Sports complex) and for it to pick you up after the race and party in the Epcot parking lot.  I usually schedule mine in advance, or just make sure you take a number to call when you are ready to leave.

There will be some road closures, so be aware of that.  I would leave no later than 7 p.m. to get to the race.  The road closures will be listed in the Final Race instructions booklet, and you can also get a copy at the resort's front desk.  Be sure and let your cab driver know before you leave that he may need to take alternate routes.

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions.  See you there!
