    I am running in the Wine & Dine Half Marathon in November and will have my two tots with us on this trip. I know that the race is late (10pm!) - any tips on bringing kiddos to this event?

    Hi Andrea!

    How exciting for you!  The Wine and Dine Half Marathon is my favorite race weekend of all!  I am already excited about this year's upcoming race.  I just love the course and all of the festive music:)

    Yes, the race does begin very late, with the post-race party going into the wee hours of the morning.  I think it kind of depends on your children.  My boys were pretty rigid with their schedules and I probably wouldn't have attempted to take them to the party when they were toddlers.  My boys participated in their first all-night race/party at last year's Expedition Everest Challenge.  They were 9 and 12 at the time, and had a blast.

    But, I know that a lot of kids are much more flexible and with a late nap on race day will be just fine to party all night with mom and dad!  Keep in mind that the after-party is geared more toward adults, and there really won't be many things for your kids to do, other than explore and eat with you.

    If you are thinking you may not want to take them, I can recommend the Kids Nite Out childcare service.  (www.kidsniteout.com)  They are available 24/7 and could stay at the Resort with your kids if you so desire.  I have used them before with my boys and love them.  They are not a Disney company, but they do contract with Disney. 

    If you do plan on taking your kids, I would definitely recommend a late afternoon nap on that Saturday. 
    (you should nap with them!)
