I will be running the Wine & Dine Half Marathon this November (my first Half!), and was wondering whether there will be pace leaders to follow during the race? Thanks!

Hi Erin! The Wine and Dine half marathon is my favorite runDisney race!  I love the course, running at night, and obviously, the post-race party at Epcot!

Generally, there are not pacers at Disney races, simply because there are so many runners.  The only race I have seen them at is the Walt Disney World marathon.  This could change, so you can definitely ask back at a later date or ask a staff member when you get to the packet pick-up and expo.

I usually use either my Garmin GPS watch to keep an eye on my pace, or my iPhone with the Nike+ app that also uses the GPS in my phone to determine my distance and pace.  There are a lot of options available to runners for measuring their pace.    I also just ordered some "pace tats".  These are tattoos that you put on the inside of your arm and it tells you where you want to be (time-wise) at the end of every mile.  Generally, I just run to have fun and do the best I can do, but I have decided to set a time goal for myself for my next half marathon and I think these will all help!

I hope this helps you and please let me know if you have any other questions leading up to your race!
