Hi! I am running in the Wine and Dine Half Marathon on Nov. 10, 2012. Where should I eat a pre-race meal (since the race is at night)? Also, will the monorail be running after the after-party at Epcot? I am staying at a MK resort. Thanks!

    Hi Spencer!

I recommend doing a "practice run" with a meal and a late night training run.  You want to make sure whatever you eat won't seem like a bad idea around mile 10!  If you are at a Magic Kingdom area resort, you could try out one of the restaurants over there.  I would keep it pretty light and bland.  Nothing spicy or too high in fiber.  Some kind of pasta dish is ideal.  You could also go to Downtown Disney to one of the great restaurants there.  Portobello is a really good Italian restaurant.

As for transportation, this is the policy for non-host resorts: (none of the Magic Kingdom area resorts are host resorts)
What if I am not staying at a host resort?
No transportation will be provided for guests staying at a non-host resort even if it is on Walt Disney World property. Parking will be available at Epcot® ONLY. Parking will not be available at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. Guests will take a shuttle from Epcot® to ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.

So, you would need to either arrange to have a taxi pick you up or park your vehicle in the Epcot parking lot and then take a bus to the Wide World of Sports for the start of the race.

Please let me know if you have any other questions!
