Hi! We're running the WDW half marathon in January 2015. We'd like to do the pasta party the night before the half, but my concern is the timing. Will we be able to enjoy dinner, fireworks & still get a decent night sleep in before the race?

    Hello, Rachel!

I hope you are looking forward to participating in the Walt Disney World® Half Marathon! I also hope your training is going well, January will be here before you know.

The Pasta in the Park Party is an excellent way to add a little magic to your race-cation, and although it will make for a night later than you were probably planning on, you'll be glad you went! My experience at this event in January, the night before the half, proved to be what I needed to keep anxiety at bay and have some fun, too! You're in Walt Disney World®! Soak it all in. It's always hard to sleep the night before a race, so enjoy yourself in the most magical place on earth.

I hope this information helps, Rachel! Please do not hesitate to send me any additional questions you may have as you plan and prepare to run Disney!

    Have a magical day!
