Running W&D 1/2 as our 1st Disney race! Due to budget constraints, we are staying off property :-( Are taxis available after to get us back? If the hotel shuttle drops us at a park, best way to get to WWOS for packets Fri/race Sat? Thanks!

    Hi Christina!

The Wine and Dine Half Marathon is my favorite race weekend at Disney World!  I think you will love it!

For transportation, there usually aren't taxis sitting in the Epcot parking lot that late at night. (or would it be early in the morning?!!)  What you should do is arrange to have a cab be there to pick you up at a certain time, or at least have a cab company's number with you that you can call when you are ready to go.  There may be some available for you, but I wouldn't chance it.  You can check at your resort's front desk to get a cab company's information.  Be sure to call them in advance and make sure they will be available during those hours.

For packet pick-up, you may also need to arrange for a taxi.  The Disney buses don't run from the parks to the Wide World of Sports.  The runDisney buses, that will be running to the expo, will only be going to and from the host resorts.   If you are at a park during park hours, you can generally find taxis waiting around in the parking lot area.

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions leading up to the race!
