I am running the Tower of Terror 10 Miler--and it is my first Disney race. The transportation to the race has me worried. I am staying at Art of Animation, no a host resort. If I get to a Host Resort--would I be able to take the transportation to the race?

Hi Scott!  Disney's Art of Animation Resort looks amazing!  That will be a really cool experience for you!

Technically, the buses are for host resort guests only.  However, as far as I know, they don't check for resort identification as you board, although that could possibly change.

So, you can always give it the old college try!  If for some reason, you are not permitted on the bus, a good back-up plan is to jump in a cab.  I have driven myself and taken a cab to some of the races.  While it isn't as convenient as the resort buses, it worked out just fine.  I just make sure I get there at least 2 hours before race time.  This keeps me out of the backed-up traffic and helps me relax to know that I am there and I am ready!!  Just give your cab driver the list of road closures and alternate routes that will be available at all resorts and in the race instructions.

No worries!  It IS Disney World, and you will have a magical race and wonderful vacation!  Let me know if I can help in any other way!
