I am running the TinkerBell 1/2 an am getting nervous - it's my first 1/2! Is the course pretty flat or are there hills to worry about? I'm having to train inside a lot because of snow and cannot run on a treadmill - I don't run in straight lines!

    Hi, Jennifer!

I hope you're getting excited to run off to Neverland during the Tinker Bell Half Marathon. This fanciful weekend will be here before you know it.

It's easy to be nervous before a race, especially your first. I think part of that comes from not knowing what to expect. I still get pixie dust in my stomach before each race :) I can also tell you this course is fast and flat! Making it any excellent choice for your first runDisney race experience. While you will encounter a few slight inclines around the theme parks (especially near Splash Mountain), and I believe an overpass, there are definitely no hills to worry about navigating. And should you encounter an incline that proves to be a challenge, walk it. This strategy will help conserve muscle power. Using Jeff Galloway's run/walk/run method is also beneficial in ensuring you can go the distance.

You can fly, Jennifer! Especially on this course. And please let me know if you have any additional questions. I'm here to help you have a magical race experience.
