Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Cheryl!
I hope you are excited to participate in the 2016 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend! I'm sure you will have a royal time.
Walt Disney World® Resort does not offer an in-room childcare service, only Children's Activity Centers at select resorts. However, they are only open from 4pm-midnight and require the child stay for at least two hours - so that definitely will not meet your needs.
There is an in-room childcare service endorsed by Disney called Kid's Nite Out, an Orlando area company that provides certified childcare workers available 24-hours a day in the comfort of your resort hotel room. I do know they also offer what is called a "Mother's Helper." This option may allow the provider to leave the hotel room with your child so she may see some of the race, but it cannot be by vehicle, they would need to board race transportation at your resort by 5:00am (transportation stops between 5:00am-7:30am) to make it to the finish line area and find a spot to spectate.
It is definitely worth calling for more information! I would even ask for a childcare worker that is familiar with how the runDisney races are set up so she would know what to do and where to go.

I hope this helps, Cheryl! Please let me know if you have any additional questions. I am here to help!
