Hi! I am running the 1/2 marathon 1/12/13. Running with my husband, mother, & brother. Where is the best place to stay? We would want 3 rooms. We are arriving 1/11, leaving 1/13. Also, any other advice you could give. This is first 1/2 in Disney

    Hi Angela!

The Walt Disney World half marathon is a great race!  You guys are going to love it!

I apologize for taking so long to get back to you.  I have actually been at Disney World this past weekend for the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror Ten-Miler.  It was so fun!

All of the Disney World Resorts will be host resorts during marathon weekend, so you can choose whichever one best fits your taste and budget.  Being a host resort means there will be buses running to and from all race weekend events for you runners and spectators.  Here is a link to some advice for traveling with a large party to Disney World.  You could also just get three separate rooms at the resort of your choice.

Since it is your first visit, I also recommend this link to planning advice for your first visit.  There are also some great ideas for you to make your first Disney trip really special!

I hope this helps you with your planning.  Please feel free to ask me any other questions you may have as you get ready for the race!
