    DH and I are running the marathon on 1/8/12. I keep hearing about transportation from "host" hotels. Could you please list the host hotels here? Can't seem to find the specific hotel listings anywhere. FYI, we'll be at OKW-- is that a host hotel?

    Hi Malena!

        Oh, this reminds me of such a funny story!  My mom and I ran the Expedition Everest 5K a couple of years ago....in the pouring rain!  To say that it was pouring outside is really an understatement - it was more like a monsoon!  Anyway, long story short, we made it out and were frantically searching for our bus back to the Dolphin hotel.  I should have lost my "Moms Panel Status" that night - what was I thinking???  It is VERY important to know that for the majority of races, the Disney transportation will only run back to the "host hotels."  The great news is that there are tons of very convenient and affordable taxis that will take you to the other resorts.

          However, the January marathons will have transportation back to ALL Disney Resorts!!!  I just spoke to Felinda with RunDisney and she confirmed that you will indeed have a bus waiting to bring you back to the Old Key West Resort.  I did want to mention that if you are interested in staying at one of the Epcot Resorts, you could even walk back to your room at the end of the race.  Although, walking is probably the last thing you will want to do!  Go team Malena!
