I will be running the marathon in January and am thinking of turning the trip into a family vacation. Since I will not want to tour the parks the day before or the day of the run, will it be warm enough for my husband and daughter to swim at the hotel?

Hi Carolyn - Congrats on running the marathon!

The pools at Walt Disney World are heated.  Last year, I was at Walt Disney World for the marathon weekend, and it was certainly warm enough to swim.  However, that isn't necessarily always the case, so it'll depend on the weather.

There's also lots you can do in Downtown Disney, if you want to be more relaxed and the weather doesn't cooperate.  There's a movie theater, DisneyQuest, and much more.

I hope that helps!  Good luck on the marathon and have a great vacation!
