I will be running the Halloween 5K in the stroller division with my 14-month old daughter. This is the first time I've visited the parks with a child so young. Where are the best venues to bring her, and are there amenities for nursing moms?

Hi Tamara!  Congratulations and best wishes on your upcoming run!  That is very exciting, and a great accomplishment!

You will find so much to do in the Walt Disney World Parks with your toddler!  In fact, the things you won't be able to do are few and far between!

You will notice that some of the attractions in each park have a height requirement which will cause your young one to be unable to ride.  These would be the more intense attractions such as Soarin', Mission to Mars, and Fast Track in EPCOT;  Thunder Mountain Railroad, Splash Mountain, and Space Mountain in the Magic Kingdom;  Expedition Everest, Kali River Rapids, and Dinosaur in the Animal Kingdom; and Aerosmith's Rock 'n Roller Coaster, Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, and Star Tours in Hollywood Studios.  This list is not exhaustive, but it gives you a good idea of the main ones that your little one will not be able to ride.

However, the ones she can ride exist in abundance, and the list is just too long to include here!  Do realize, however, that some of these rides can be a little more "scary'" for one that young...such as the Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, etc...  Just be aware of these, in case your daughter has a tendency to catch a fright easily.

As for nursing, the answer is YES!  There are some wonderful Baby Care Centers in each park.  Pick up a Theme Park map on your way into the park, and note the location of each as you enter.  These centers provide wonderful quiet rooms for nursing and rocking baby to sleep, kitchen facilities for feeding time, and changing tables.  We found these to be such a help to us when we traveled with out boys as babies.

I wish you all many magical memories on your upcoming trip and run!
