I am running the half in Feb. Is it best to stay in a hotel on the monorail?

    Hello, Anthony!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Congratulations on your decision to participate in a runDisney race event - I hope your training is going well!

Staying at any of the beautiful Walt Disney World® Resort Hotels along the Monorail is very convenient for races that begin at Epcot®, as the Monorail will transport you to and from the Start Zone Area from the Transportation and Ticket Center - you would not need to take bus transportation. In addition, these resorts represent some of the nicest deluxe accommodations available at Walt Disney World®. Not to mention your dining options abound when staying at a Magic Kingdom Area Resort along the Monorail!

However, if you would like some additional suggestions, check out this post recently featured on the runDisney Blog highlighting some of my favorite resorts during a runDisney race weekend. You might find some other great ideas here as well!

I hope this information is helpful, Anthony! I think choosing accommodations for a race-cation is part of the fun. Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance.

Wishing you a wonderful training season!
