DH & I are running the Glass slipper Challenge, what time you suggest eating the night before Princess 1/2 & what to eat in the a.m. I hear we will be up & going by 3. Kids (10 & 12) are running 10K with us Saturday - any thoughts for post

    Hi Pauline!

This sounds like a great weekend for your family!  I think the Glass Slipper Challenge is such a fun idea!

Your best bet is to practice your eating habits during training run weekends.  I usually try to avoid anything spicy or too full of fiber in the days leading up to a race.  I like to eat some bland pasta and other carbohydrates the day before.  For race morning, I generally have a bagel with peanut butter and a banana.  I generally take it with me on the bus to the race and then eat it closer to race time.  You can find all of these things in most resort gift shops.  Or, if I have a vehicle, I will run to a nearby grocery and get them to keep in my room.

My dinners the night before races are at my normal eating time, around 5 or 6 p.m., and then I try to get in bed early.

The most important thing is to not try anything new.  Stick with what has worked for you during your training and don't try anything that may upset your stomach right before a race.

Be sure to check out nutrition tips from Tara Gidus.  She is runDisney's official diet expert!

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions.
