Running the Food &Wine 5km next week. Excited! After a quick dry shower/clothing change we want to get to AK for a couple lucky fastpasses. What’s the fastest option to get there from the finish line area besides a car/taxi service? Monorail then bus?

    Hi Monica,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another great question, my fellow Canadian!

I tell every runner that I know about how amazing all of the runDisney races are. A big part of the reason why I love them so much, aside from how magical each mile can be (even when you’re in the not-so-magical stretches of the longer distances) is how organized everything is, including transportation. You’ll be happy to know that, if you’re staying in a Disney Resort Hotel, motor coach transportation from the finish line directly back to your hotel is included as part of your stay. That would be the fastest option, if you don’t plan to use a car, taxi or ride sharing service.

In past years, I’ve just headed back to where the biiiig balloons are floating (usually at the far end of the Epcot parking lot in the race staging area) and you’ll be able to hop on board and head straight to your Resort. If you can’t find the place where the buses are parked, either find the signage throughout the site or ask the nearest Cast Member, and they’ll be happy to assist you.

I hope you have a wonderful race and please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions!

    Have a Magical Day,
