I am running in my first RunDisney race in January-the Tinker Bell half marathon and I am beyond excited! However, I like to be comfortable while running-will I be very out of place if I don't wear a costume or wings to a RunDisney event?

    Hi Heather,

You are going to have a blast running the Tinker Bell Half Marathon!  I've been a runner for years and have run races all over but runDisney hosts these events like no other!

Its very exciting to see the different costumes and creative ideas that people come up with for these events.  Some people go all out and others wear their everyday running clothes.  You won't be out of place either way you go.  13.1 miles is long way to run when you're not comfortable.  You do not want to wear anything that can cause blisters or that can also distract you from the mental concentration that you may need to finish.

You could get in the spirit by doing something as simple as spraying your hair or body with a little pixie dust.  Or maybe sewing a Tinker Bell patch on a comfortable running shirt and add some sparkles to it.

You're going to have an awesome time!  Just remember you can run. You can run. You can run.  And follow the second star to the right  Wishing you minnie magical miles :-) Allison
