    Hi! We are running our first RunDisney event in January 2017! I just bought Memory Maker, as I always do for Disney trips. Here is my question: Do we need to wear our Magic Bands to the race for the character shots taken along the route?

    Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

    Congratulations on signing up for your first runDisney event. I have a feeling it will be the beginning of a new Disney obsession!

    You will not have to wear your MagicBand on the course. There will be an 11-digit code, plus your bib number that you will link to your MyDisneyPhotoPass account. The code will be emailed to you and also available on the event website and in the Official Event Guide.  It generally takes 24-48 hours for the photos to show up as the cast members have to sort them by bib number.

    I just ran the Wine and Dine Half Marathon and mine started showing up that same evening.  You can also link other runners in your party to your PhotoPass account to receive their race photos.
