I am running my first run disney race the princess half in feb. and my family is coming along. I am just wondering what is the best thing for them to do the morning of the race. Should they try to get on the course or be at the finish or just meet up later

    Hi Samantha!

Having your family there will make the race so special for you!

I think the answer to your question depends on the ages of your family members.  If you have really little kids, it may be easier for them to just meet you at the finish area.  Getting to the viewing areas on the course can be difficult and may not be worth the brief amount of time they will see you run by, if there are little ones involved.

However, my favorite place to view runners is inside the Magic Kingdom.  If there aren't little kids in your party and your family is willing to get up super early, I think they will find it worth their time to view runners coming up Main Street U.S.A. in the park.  Here's some information:

Spectators will be able to see their runner run through the Magic Kingdom® Park near Cinderella Castle (Mile 5.3). This location will be open at 5:30 a.m. You do not need a ticket to enter the Magic Kingdom® Park.

You can also purchase chEAR squad packages if you're interested in that.  More information can be found on the Princess Half Marathon website, under "SPECTATORS".

Please let me know if you have any other questions!
