I am running my first 10K next Feb. If for some reason you don't maintain the 16 minute pace and you get picked up and transported to the finish line... Do you still get your medal?

    Hi, Kelly!

For the Enchanted 10K held during the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend, there is one sweep point for guests who are behind the 16 minute mile pacing. This sweep point is right before the 5K timing mat (halfway) and if you should find yourself unable to complete the race, you will still be given a medal.

However, this practice could end at anytime so I do want to encourage you to give it your best. Once you pass this sweep point and make it into the theme park you will be allowed to complete the race and cross the finish line. You can do it!

I also suggest looking at the training plans available on the runDisney website by the official runDisney Training Consultant, Jeff Galloway. His run/walk method has revolutionized the running world! Just select the highlighted link above for your complementary 10K run/walk training plan.

I hope this is helpful and encouraging, Kelly! Please let me know if you have any other questions. I am here to help!
