I will be running my first half marathon at the WDW Marathon weekend in January 2015 and have also signed up my toddlers for the kids races on that Saturday. Is it possible to get back to Coronado and then to WWOS by 11am to start the kids' race? Help!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Erica!

I hope you are looking forward to your first half marathon with runDisney! It's hard to believe we're just seven weeks out from the largest race event of the year.

I do not believe you will have a problem making it to the Kids' Races in time for an 11:00am start. However, there are some factors to consider when determining how close you'll be cutting it in getting there:

    1) Your starting corral- each corral is released onto the course at timed intervals based on your estimated finish time. With it being your first race, you'll probably be in one of the later corrals, making it close to 6:30am before everyone is one the course and running.

    2) Your estimated finish time- another factor will be how long it will take you to complete the race. If you start closer to 6:30am and take 3+ hours to finish, you might be pressed for time. And don't forget to factor in any stoppage time for photos.

    3) Transportation- you'll need to allow 30-45 mins for transportation back to your resort and 20 mins from your resort to the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.

Add all these variables up to gage how tight it might be getting to the Kids' Races. One option would be to take a taxi from Epcot® to the Complex and meet your travel party and littles ones at the New Balance Track & Field Center.

I hope this helps give you an idea of how race morning will go, Erica! If you should have any additional questions as you continue planning and preparing, please let me know! I am here to help sort out the details of your first runDisney-cation.

    Have a magical race,
